Adolph Rupp was an avowed racist and Rupp Arena should have it renamed because it's offensive to black people.He's a divisive figure and shows an embarrassing era in the University of Kentucky and it's history. No one doubts he was a great basketball coach, but his views on blacks as not being human beings is disturbing. He will be remembered with the banners that hang in the arena, but the arena itself should not have his name on it. Adolph Rupp's name represents bigotry, racism, and lack of human decency. His name should be removed from the basketball arena.
