Hello there! 

My name is Hallie Friedman and I'm a current Junior Acting major at the Hartt School in Hartford CT. As many of you know, this upcoming presidential election is extremely important. For a lot of us, myself included, it's our first time being able to vote which is very exciting. I'm creating this petition to send to the President of the University of Hartford, Gregory Woodward, to ask him to either cancel the entire day of classes on November 3rd or to delay classes. A lot of first-time voters, and college students, won't be able to vote in person if they want, because they'll be in class. Although I am voting by mail because I'm planning on working at one of the polling locations, I want to make sure that for those select people who maybe haven't gotten their absentee ballot, or plan on just not voting, that this will propel them to go out and vote. I want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity, and the access, to use their voices more than ever, and vote. Thanks!
