University of Exeter Strike Compensation

The Issue

We, as students of the University of Exeter, demand some form of compensation for every student who loses contact time due to the upcoming strike action from the 22nd of February to the 16th of March 2018. We judge this to be a fair share of the £9250 annual tuition fee that we already pay to this university that we will lose in the anticipated lecture and seminar cancellations over the four week strike period. If the University is unable to reimburse us for the service we are paying for as consumers of this business we call 'university', something needs to be done in order to minimise the direct impact that the consequences of the strike will have on our learning and assessed work. This could be in the form of mitigation for exams and upcoming essays that will be affected.
