Due to the pandemic, a lot of students who are already diagnosed as specially abled in private hospitals were not able to obtain their PwD certificate (Person with Disability) from a government hospital which is currently the only document accepted to avail our rightful reservation as PwD students in Delhi University. However, many of them could not obtain this certificate and could not even apply for it due to the COVID-19 lockdowns and the dangers associated with hospitals. As it is, govt. hospitals are overworked and are unsafe to go to. I contacted IBHAS (Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences) which is directly focused on mental health but they directly told me that they are not issuing any PwD certificates right now due to "not having tools". 
This is unfair to PwD students. They are not able to avail reservation despite having valid certificates from private hospitals. They have been forced to apply as General category students. 
Please allow them to use their recognised private hospital certificates in order to avail the reservation that they rightfully have a democratic right to.
