For bringing controversial speaker Milo Yiannopoulos to campus, the University of California at Irvine (UC Irvine) has suspended the UC Irvine College Republicans. As College Republicans, we are tired of having to defend every speaker we bring to campus, and we realize this situation is bigger than just UC Irvine. It could happen anywhere. That is why we, College Republicans from across the country, stand with the UC Irvine College Republicans and urge the UC Irvine to reinstate the group.

Whether we are fans of Milo Yiannopoulos or we think he may not be the best surrogate for the conservative movement, we understand the precedent this could set for College Republican chapters everywhere. Tomorrow, it could be us.

We will not be censored. We will not be shut down. We will not stand for disinvitation of conservatives. We will not be suspended for our speakers. We are the College Republicans and our voices will be heard.
