Coronavirus carrier found in Davis. Pause the class to avoid further affection !!!
The Issue
According to Tne Enterprise Yolo County news, there is a resident in Davis who was diagnosed with coronavirus. here is the link: Newly diagnosed coronavirus patient being treated at UC Davis Medical Center
Coronavirus is known for its super ability to infect people in a short time in a massive range and acute death rate. Coronavirus also has a latent period of up to 21 days in the human body, during which time, virus carriers rarely have any obvious symptoms. Those features make coronavirus extremely easy to get into people's bodies and cause death-threatening diseases.
Before most residents, students and professors live in the area are tested as non-carrier of coronavirus and the effective measures against coronavirus contamination/infection are set up. UC Davis should stop the classes to avoid the potential massive range of coronavirus infection, and ensure the health of every UC Davis student.
Below are some highlighted contents:
"The UC Davis Medical Center is treating a patient who may be the first person in the country to have contracted the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) from community exposure."
" 'Today the CDC confirmed the patient’s test was positive,” said the email from David Lubarsky, vice-chancellor of human health services, and Brad Simmons, interim CEO of UC Davis Medical Center.' This is not the first COVID-19 patient we have treated, and because of the precautions we have had in place since this patient’s arrival, we believe there has been the minimal potential for exposure here at UC Davis Medical Center,” the email said. Nevertheless, a small number of medical center employees have been asked to stay home and monitor their temperatures."
