Brighton Business School Undergraduate Results

Brighton Business School Undergraduate Results
The Issue
As most of you know, on the 13th of July we were informed by the University of Brighton that level 4,5 and 6 business school students will receive their results sometime during the week commencing 27th July. Despite the fact that the university failed to provide its students with a specific results date, many students looked past this and spent the week waiting for results.
On the 31st of July after many students sent emails to the undergraduate office, we received an email stating that we will most likely to receive our results the following week instead. The University has failed again in providing a precise date. Many students in particular final year students spent the week incredibly stressed and anxious which can have negative effects on a individual mental health.
We as students understand that due to COVID 19 there is a level of uncertainty involved however students not receiving results in time is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the university. Students pursuing masters require their results by a certain date in order to officially accept their offers but due to the university being unable to do so, certain individuals have missed out. With most exams being completed by early June, the university has had almost two months to process and mark exams. This is a similar timeframe to previous years, in which they were able to release results on time.
The University of Brighton has failed to communicate with us as students, essentially leaving us in the dark and for this anxiety and stress caused, the university needs to offer compensation to its students.
