Ask UofA & TMC: Host "Unrest" - Education on MECFS

The Issue

UofA & TMC: Host Unrest

Educating doctors and nurses about ME/CFS is a key step toward better care.

We are asking the University of Arizona Medical Education Program to host a screening of Unrest on their campus.

We are asking the Tucson Medical Center to enroll doctors in an ME/CFS continuing education course and host a screening of Unrest.

Given how little is taught about ME/CFS in medical school curricula, how very few medical providers are knowledgeable about the disease, and how many Arizonans suffer from it (24,000 to 54,000 Arizonans, per the National Academy of Medicine), it’s critically important that southern Arizona doctors be educated on ME/CFS, for the local community and the wider national community of people with ME/CFS who need a stronger pool of doctors to partner with.

End Date: September 30th, 2019

At the beginning of October, advocates from MEAction Arizona will hand deliver this petition to medical education faculty at the University of Arizona and Tucson Medical Center.

This petition is open to Arizona residents only.
