Coach Jessica Sanchez was terminated from UHS, head cheer coach title, without explanation. She has built this program up since 2017, that’s almost 4 years of hard work taken away without reason. They stripped her of her job and did not give her a chance to discuss the termination. This was done to meet a personal agenda, not considering all those who it would impact. This decision will affect many girls who are now in jeopardy of not being able to become All American Cheerleaders or get scholarships to college. Sanchez allowed her athletes to progress, the first cheer coach to take the team to competitions and on to states. Under her leadership the UHS cheer team has won many awards, including the coveted Top Banana for for three years in a row. Her old cheerleaders have gone onto be UCA/NCA staff members and gotten scholarships to cheer in college. They can not take away such an assets to the community with no just reason.
