I first saw the movie 'Van Helsing' as a child. Needless to say, it blew my mind. It was awesome! Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale looked great, Richard Roxburge was hilarious in it. Alan Silvestri did a great job at the movie's soundtrack. The costumes were creative and the monster designs were original and VERY cool.
I thought for sure a sequel would come out and I waited... and waited... and then I googled 'Van Helsing' on my school internet and learnt at the tender age of 10 that the movie bombed. There would be no sequel. 
At least not yet.
Flash foreword 13 years, I still loved the movie. After a great quest across the internet, I discovered that a lot of people seemed to enjoy the movie- it seemed to hold a special place in a lot of people's hearts. The movie is campy, fun and memorable. Critics pan it, but it seemed a lot of the audience enjoyed it. So hear me out, we need a sequel or at least a re-release in cinemas. I think a decent amount of people would go see it. 
And honestly, it's the perfect set up to introduce the 'Dark Universe'.
Here are my reasons why a Van Helsing Sequel would be a great idea:
-We can explore Van Helsing's past
-We can see Van Helsing face off against other Universal Monsters thus starting a 'Dark Universe'
-Van Helsing love interest?
-Would make a good video game series (like Darksouls, but with more VaN hElSiNg)
-Merchandise would sell
-The original movie was awesome, totes needs a sequel. 
-Bring the old movie monsters to a new generation
-Imagine the THEME PARK rides
-Can extend on the universe with books

Anyway, please consider this petition, Hollywood.
