NO PLEXIGLASS FOR HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 30
Plexiglass in the haunted houses disrupts the immersion and hinders the scares.
It has been proven that plexiglass has had no affect on stopping COVID-19 and is simply there as a placebo effect. Last year we had two haunted houses open up with a third opening for two days. All three houses had plexiglass or clear curtains in between guests and actors. At peak pandemic, this was tolerable. However, we are past that. We now have vaccines.
Universal, as of 8/11/2021, is operating at full capacity with limited guidelines for team members and recommendations for guests. This includes putting different parties into the cabins for the Hogwarts Express, sitting strangers next to each other with no social distancing at indoor shows, having team members inches from guests as they check your harness and hand out 3D glasses, as well as other typical theme park practices.
The decision to implement plexiglass in the haunted houses negatively affects all of the guests. Guests will be paying for tickets (all with a price increase) expecting an experience similar to what they’ve experienced before COVID-19. The shock and disappointment for guests who visit Halloween Horror Nights 30 will be astronomical if plexiglass returns this year.
By signing this petition, you agree that there should not be plexiglass in the haunted houses this year for Halloween Horror Nights 30.
