There should be new Blu-ray releases of "The Thing"[1982] and "The Thing"[2011](which should be retitled "The Thing: The Beginning") that contain all previous extras from all previous home video releases of the films, as well as new extras, including a full-length behind the scenes documentary for "The Thing: The Beginning". All trailers, TV spots, & radio spots for the films should be included. An extended cut of "The Thing"[1982] that includes the scenes that were added into the TV cut of the film should be included. The workprint cut of "The Thing: The Beginning" should be included and should be the version of the film that's considered canonical.

"The Thing 2" should be a faithful translation of the "The Thing" video game and it should be long enough that the "The Thing" video game can be done justice. The music score of the "The Thing" video game should be the music score of the miniseries. The miniseries should have both great practical effects and great CGI.

There should be a miniseries titled "The Thing 3" should be based on the unmade video game sequel to the "The Thing" video game.

There should be a Netflix original animated "The Thing" TV series that uses the stories from the various "The Thing" comic books published by Dark Horse, including "The Thing: The Northman Nightmare", with the stories with the "The Thing From Another World" label being loosely adapted.
