There is a huge disengagement of Indigenous youth from education & they are falling into the criminal justice system. Shalom Christian College was an answer to Indigenous cries for help with their children. The Uniting Church has come to the understanding it is incapable of delivering appropriate education to our Indigenous youth & has already closed the secondary & are now selling the property.

This petition is to call for a stop to this sale & to ask the Uniting Church to engage with the Indigenous Community as to how this property (Shalom Christian College - Townsville) will be transitioned back to Indigenous ownership.
