There are many race horses out there who have made a lot of money for their owners. Some of these horses wind up in kill pens when their racing days are over. Horse should have a mandatory percentage of their earnings put in a fund to go towards their retirement care. The trainers and drivers get their percentage the horse should also get their share. This is only fair for these animals that give their all for their people. Hopefully this will help keep many of them out if the killpens and into pastures and second careers to enjoy a happy retirement life. I think at least 2 % should be put in account in the horses name to be available to the horses caretakers in the horses retirement years.
