We Demand Justice for Darren Rainey: burnt to death in scalding shower by prison guards
The issue
His name was Darren Rainey.
And on June 23, 2012, he was burnt to death by prison guards; locked in a scalding shower for two hours as he screamed.
His last known words were: “I can’t take it no more, I’m sorry! I won’t do it again!"
Words he screamed until he died.
All this to "punish" a 50 year old, non-violent, mentally ill patient at a psychiatric facility for refusing to take a shower.
Reports say that guards could be heard taunting "How do you like your shower?" as Rainey burned to death, screaming.
And yet while Darren Rainey's body was left burnt and lifeless, every single offender walked away free.
The cover up by the prison system meant they got away with it.
But not anymore.
His name was Darren Rainey.
And we demand justice.
