Animal cruelty is a common occurrence and with people only facing 1 year in jail, it is still going to be common. I think with a sentence of 30 months it would become much less common. Take into account that this should be the minimum sentence length. I care because I don’t like scrolling through social media and seeing animals in need of assistance being posted on internet for popularity, instead of helping animals.
