Cease and desist any and all attempts at regulating the internet
The Issue
These laws (SOPA, PIPA, and now Sen. Harry Reid's Cyber Security bill before Senate, et al.) are direct violations of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
We have lived with and seen the tremendous benefits of the free market of the internet and its ability to allow us greater ways to share with and influence one another.
As we typically see, when the government gets involved in any endeavor, the outcome is not good.
We opposed SOPA and PIPA because of their vague and indiscriminate ways to police the internet. Congress should understand that we do not want the government involved in policing this. We can police ourselves. An overwhelmingly huge majority of us who regularly use the internet for business and pleasure do not do anything illegal with it. A government-regulated internet will usher in an end to the "final frontier" of free speech, free trade, and free ideas.
