Prosecute Mitch Lowe and Ted Farnsworth for Moviepass Stock Fraud aka Helios and Matheson

The Issue

I am bringing this petition because I personally lost several million dollars on HMNY stock.

Mitch Lowe, CEO of Moviepass, and Ted Farnsworth, CEO of Helios and Matheson, concocted a scheme that defrauded investors in Helios and Matheson (HMNY) out of several hundred million dollars. They engaged in a pump and dump stock scheme by making false statements and inflating the financial performance of Moviepass owner Helios and Matheson which pumped the stock to $40 from less than $1. Less than 2 years later, the stock was delisted and the company filed for bankruptcy, resulting in total investor losses of over $700 million.

Ted and Mitch, along with the foreign nationals from India who owned the shell company Helios and Matheson, cashed out of tens of millions of dollars of stock in the secondary market. All along the way, the CEO of Helios and Matheson and Moviepass appeared on TV and in mainstream media making knowingly false statements about the financial performance of the company and filing false financial statements with the SEC. At one point, Helios and Matheson was the most widely held stock on Robinhood, the #1 stock trading app.The foreign nationals and the management team of Helios and Matheson (owners of Moviepass) sold their shares to millennial investors at inflated prices. Ted even bought a yacht with the money, which he shamelessly bragged about to Bloomberg Business reporters after filing for bankruptcy. Our American financial markets have been hijacked by foreign stock pump and dumpers, who are exploiting loopholes to fleece American investors.

Support this petition to bring Mitch and Ted to justice and to put the Indian owners of Helios and Matheson behind bars and on no-fly lists to America. By signing this petition, you are showing your support for an investigation by the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the US Department of Justice to bring civil and criminal charges at these evil doers.
