Bring Freedom to American Child Sex Trafficking Victims by using Epstein's fortune.
Bring freedom to America’s child sex trafficking victims by donating Epstine’s fortune to survivor care.
In the wake of Epstein’s death, we call upon the U.S government to seize Epstein’s assets and disburse them to provide reparations to the identified children who were victimized by Epstein. Further funds should then be disbursed to anti-trafficking organizations providing a systematic response to sex trafficking survivor care across America.
FBI and the office of Trafficking in Persons believes that hundreds of thousands of people are trafficked in the United States each year, but victim identification is still low due to lack of education and awareness on human trafficking indicators in many communities across the United States. In 2018, the National Human Trafficking Hotline identified 7,859 victims of sex trafficking in the United States, which does not include cases directly handled by local authorities. Of the 7,859 sex trafficking victims in 2018, 2,738 of victims were minors. In 2018, there were only 1,000 beds across the US for survivors of sex trafficking, and 100 of those beds were for minors. Meaning that in 2018, 26 out 27 minors of sex trafficking in the United States did not receive treatment for the trauma they have endured.
This petition is a call for the U.S. Government to use Epstein’s fortune to systematically increase the number of restorative care facilities for sex trafficking victims across America by allowing organizations who meet the minimum standards of care, as set forth by the National Trafficking Shelter Alliance to apply for funding.
