In 2017 or 2018 residents across San Luis Obispo County will began to learn that the owner at Sentinel Peak Resources @ the Price Canyon Oil Field/or Arroyo Grande Oil Field will begin to frack their oilfields.
Sentinel Peak Resources, will Intend to dig a natural gas liquids pipeline through our communities and in some instances through individually owned private property.
Under Highway 101 to Nipomo Park, adjacent to homeowners that are already putting their property on the market and selling to get maximum property value of their home/land before the construction begins.
People around the Country are worried about their safety, property values, constitutional rights, local ordinances even their own elected officials subverted by a corporation cloaking itself in the guise of a public utility which had nothing to do with the public good.
Not to mention the health dangers revealed in studies that suggest-that residents with the highest exposure to active fracking wells are twice as likely to suffer from various health symptoms, including asthma, nasal and sinus problems, migraines, nosebleeds, immunity conditions, neurology conditions, heart conditions, premature births, high risk pregnancies, stillborns, miscarriages, children born with rare medical conditions and various types of cancers.
The elected officials/ and Big Oil think they can only be the ones to know the truth about this secret society of allowing fracking inside our county and lives, instead the City Hall and elected officials in each city in SLO need to take back their power and enacted ordinances, restricting or banning fracking within their borders.
The psychological warfare against homeowners is despicable and something much worse is happening, when spills, cracks, or leaks occur. The Oil Companies should be closed down not just given a fine and told to be careful next time around. The Government is allowing Oil Companies to police themselves it is wrong on so many levels.
The sad thing about it all is the lack of disclosures of the real dangers of pipelines and oil /gas chemicals waste that come in contact with either the city water, water wells or our land. Fracking in our backyard is a disaster in waiting. When this occurs this county will look like a war zone happen here. We can't predict when environmental disasters happen and come to a head, but we can take measures to protect our lives today. Say "NO" to fracking in San Luis Obispo County
The underground field construction requires clearance around water systems is never correctly done right or disclosed to the homeowners when a pipeline work is under construction. And on rare times when it is disclosed, only because the homeowners had to pay out of pocket for 3 specialists opinions that state that fact about the clearances numbers. The homeowners has to present this written proof to the local or state agencies willing to intervene on the homeowners behalf. Most of the times, the oil/ gas owner is allowed to go forward even when you have proof of the illegal clearances levels. In most cases the Oil Company Owner will file court records to take away your property in a Eminent Domain Process, after that happens you are screwed. Your chances of bargaining for the best price for you property is off the table. They can legally take your home away. No one wants to be in this position, yet it is a real possible if Peak Resources @ the Price Canyon Oil Field/or Arroyo Grande Oil Field is allowed to build more pipelines in Arroyo Grande.
Therefore, the many years this community has been asking questions to the elected officials the community is being stonewalled and the elected officials are being evasive to the communities they serve by not answering direct questions and not exposing their hidden agendas or contacts to lease the Nipomo Park to the Oil Companies. It will put the City of San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, Grover City, Pismo Beach, Oceano and Nipomo in the path of an underground explosion that obliterates the County of San Luis Obispo, especially since the oilfield is underneath a earthquake fault line.
In closing, the more residents that learn about this project, the more alarmed they will become. However, this message must get out to your media sites, family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, libraries, schools, parents at parks, group memberships, home ownership committees, real estate groups, workplaces, doctors offices, dentists offices and water cooler conversations. It is very important to contact “The Office of Emergency Services" in Sacramento after any site that had spills, cracks or leaks in your area or others property.
Remember that fracking is heavier than air, highly combustible and what flows out of it the chemicals look for ignition source. Fires happen sometimes on the freeway or at people's homes/ business and even it can get ignited in a ditch. When that occurs an explosion can happen.
Methane, Ethane, Propane and Butane do not belong in a populated area.
Be wise and fight back, be brutal and be tough. Let's stand together and say “NO” to fracking in San Luis Obispo County.
