For immediate release: June 14, 2018 The actions of my political opponent are shocking and appalling. Leah Wommack Chaney and the Lincoln County establishment have abused their positions of power by attacking me, as her political opponent, and a teenage member of their Lincoln County Republican Club. This is one of the most manipulative and dangerous political maneuvers I have ever encountered. In one of the most absurd abuse of power I’ve ever witnessed, Leah Wommack Chaney, the currently elected Democrat Prosecuting Attorney, along with her family and campaign team, voted Tuesday night at the Lincoln County Republican Club to press charges against me and the only teenage member of the Republican Club after leadership had rightly addressed the matter internally. The accusation? I allowed this young Republican volunteer to access an open door to the headquarters of the club, which we are both members of, in order to drop off campaign material for a statewide candidate. These politically motivated actions are disturbing to say the least. I’m now more determined than ever to bring justice back to Lincoln County. I’m going to need the help of every Lincoln County citizen to stand with me against such blatant abuses of power.
