Litigate States Infringing on the Twenty-Fourth Amendment

Litigate States Infringing on the Twenty-Fourth Amendment
The Issue
Currently various states have passed laws requiring voters to have government issued identification. The Twenty-Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution states that no person: "...shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax." Since to obtain a government issued identification one must always pay a fee (a tax) to the state to acquire such identification, States that have voter identification laws that do not provide government identification free of charge are violating the Twenty-Fourth Amendment of The Constitution. I ask the United States Department of Justice to protect democracy and seek injunction relief against states violating the Twenty-Fourth Amendment.
