Charge Mother who tried to Murder Autistic Child with Federal Hate Crime
Kelli Stapleton attempted premediated murder of her Autistic Child by locking her child in a van with the windows up and lighting two charcoal grills inside the van. The police foiled the attempt however Issy likely suffered brain damage. We ask that the United States Department of Justice prosecute this under the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 as the crime clearly targeted Issy due to her disability.

On Tuesday September 2nd 2013 Kellie Stapleton made a brutal premeditated murder attempt on her autistic daughter Issy Stapleton. Issy was locked in a van by her mother with the windows closed and two lit charcoal grills and left to die of carbon monixide poisoning. It is clear that Issy Stapleton was targeted by her mother due to her Autism.
I ask that Kelli Stapleton be charged federally under the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 which allows the federal government to prosecute as a hate crime acts of violence when “the crime was committed because of the actual or perceived religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability of any person.” This case clearly meats the defintion of this case.
