Our homes are being destroyed by the water we are receiving through Highland Waterworks LLC in Haughton, Louisiana.  We have called and reported the problems with the water co. and get no response but a test result they take once a year saying they are within standards.   Our water heaters are needing to be replaced after only 1.5 years, our showers, sinks, toilets, bath tubs are stained blue because the water is so acidic it is eating through the copper pipes of homes that are only 1-5 years old.  The chlorine levels are so high it burns our skin, our eyes, and our noses.  Our children are unable to bath because it hurts their skin.  Not only are we having to pay for this water, we are also having to pay to replace our pipes, our water heaters, our appliances and all the damage the stains are causing and the leaking from the pipes are causing.  Our family personally had our water heater leaking for an unknown amount of time, which ended up causing ceiling damage,  our water bill was $270 because of the leaking caused by this water, and the cost to replace the water heater is all on the home owner.  The water co. will not take responsibility for their low PH water that is causing all these problems even after we had a news reporter come out and report on the issue.    If the water is destroying our appliances and pipes this quickly, can you imagine what it is doing to our children's health  We've resorted to buying bottled water because we can't get any change from the water co.   Something needs to be done, our homes are being destroyed along with the health of our families.   We have no choice to change water companies, they have a monopoly over our area, and they refuse to acknowledge all the complaints.   They also do not contact customers when there is a boil advisory, or when water is going to be shut off.    We want Ph levels between 6.8 and 7, and safe chlorine levels!  We want the Water co. to be held accountable for damages caused by the corrosive levels of the water done to appliances, and pipes in and outside the home.  We want testing of water levels at least 3 times a year and reports sent to residences.  We want either a text message, phone call, or door to door notice of boil advisories and water shut offs.
