Dogs are Essential - even CRITICAL to many of us!

Dogs are Essential - even CRITICAL to many of us!
The Issue
There are 63 millions home across the states with dogs as family members. There are 500 registered services dogs across the nation supporting mental and physical disabilities - and the number is growing. There are an untold amount of dogs that provide comfort and support in forms of affection and companionship for individuals suffering from various mental and emotional conditions (Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, Mood disorder, Panic attacks, Fear/phobias, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Suicidal Thoughts/Tendencies). When these dogs can't perform tasks or support for these people due to lack of training and/or canine behavior challenges related to fears, anxiety, and reactivity - people suffer, relationships suffer, family's suffer.
Here in Colorado and across the nation, Liquor Stores, Marijuana Dispensaries, and Golf Courses are considered ESSENTIAL and/or CRITICAL business to keep open - while the training of dogs for individuals and families is not. Here in Colorado you can get a meal or alcohol delivered to you directly, but can't get direct ONE ON ONE help (while using COVID 19 Safety Measures) with your dog who provides emotional support for your kids. Here in Colorado a nurse who is working long hours can't have a trainer come and walk and work with his reactive dog (ONE ON ONE) while he is working, as dog walking was recently not considered essential or critical - especially if any training is involved - even though the nurse relies on his dog to help relieve mental stress at the end of his day and is unable to go for a walk with his dog because his dog is reactive even at 50' of seeing another dog or person. Here in Colorado a physically disabled person can't get ONE ON ONE training with their dog barking at people with masks whenever they go anywhere because, although SERVICE DOG TRAINING is approved, training a dog to accept mask wearing it is not considered specifically training a dog to perform work for a person with a disability - depending on the disability.
We are not talking about training dogs to SIT, DOWN, and STAY - which can be done virtually. We are talking about DOG BEHAVIORAL TRAINING for dogs with fears and anxieties that make living with their human family members challenging, as well as SUPPORT TRAINING for people who have emotional, mental, or physical dependencies on these furry family members. We are talking about following strict COVID 19 Safety Measures that DO NOT bring groups of people together side by side, that ensure solid SOCIAL DISTANCING is adhered to and that masks are worn, in addition to many other health safety precautions that can be taken.
Now Colorado is scheduled to lift our 5 week Stay at Home Shelter Order at the end of April 2020, but we do not know enough about this virus to know if that will indeed happen or if we are facing a second round - for whatever reason, and if we have to go into another Shelter at Home Order - PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP WITH THEIR DOGS (and their dogs) in these specific areas SUFFER.
Please sign this petition in support of making Dog Training Businesses that provide DOG BEHAVIORAL TRAINING for individuals & families and SUPPORT DOG TRAINING for people who have emotional, mental, or physical dependencies on dogs AN ESSENTIAL, even CRITICAL BUSINESS.
Things will normalize at some point - maybe weeks from now, maybe months and when they do, without solid dog training and support via the above mentioned services - there are going to be a lot of dogs who will not be able to be able to support their humans in many situations and/or be a contributing member of their family.
THANK YOU for your time and consideration....
