over breeding animals for profit is accruing in the united states in large numbers specifically involving, ducks, chickens, and rabbits,

resulting in a huge population of these animals being neglected and abused and in many cases resulting in a flux of these ending up in shelters,

especially with what are considered Easter animals like ducklings, rabbits and chickens due to them being in such large quantities and so cheep to purchase

they are often treated as disposable being purchased for Easter pics then dumped at ponds and other out door areas where they can not survive

or end up in shelters where they can not be properly cared for as this is not an appropriate environment for these animals who have different needs than say dogs and cats,

poultry farms treat these animals primarily ducklings and chicks like objects shipping them all over the united states without too much concern for the animals well being when days in shipping trucks and containers result in death just simply replacing said animal with another whom then is just reshipped.
