Animals are being re homed at an alarming rate while the number of missing pets grows daily! Animals are being found and re homed daily on the local swap sites as well as other places on Facebook. We are calling for stricter regulations on the handling of animals! Please help us enforce the laws by demanding swap sites set regulations on the age of animal being sold to the 8 weeks or older statue set by the Department of Agriculture in Illinois! Please enforce that people are not re homing found animals by demanding that proof be provided they are the owner of the animal with documented proof via vet records or other ownership documents! Please enforce your laws the State of Illinois set them in place for a reason yet everyday the laws are broken and no one cares. We the people of Southern Illinois who are fighting for the animal's right do care and we want change and we want it now! This petition stands as our voice for the animals and the families whos animals have been stolen and sold! Please demand better for these animals! Please set some rules in regards to sales for these swap sites that are operating all over Southern Illinois! Please read the laws set in place by The Department of Agriculture in Illinois and then take action!
