I would like the United States Council of Catholic Bishops to consider putting up a national memorial dedicated to children who lost their lives to abortion.  Not only will this bring to life the fact that babies are living, not just a mass of cells, but this might provide people and families touched by abortion a chance to do something good, to make penance for the past, and give hope for the future.  Hope, not just for babies, waiting to be born but for their mothers and fathers who would otherwise carry this terrible act with them, for the rest of their lives.
