The automotive community is tired of red tape when it comes to the import of vehicles from other countries, even those that are no longer in production. This is a bogus law that was pushed and lobbied by Mercedes Benz back in the 1980's when it was cheaper to purchase a new car outside of the United States and bring it to US standards later on, if at all. This law is outdated and needs to be abolished. We are asking that the 25 year law be completely abolished or overhauled to 10 years. This will bring much business in the aftermarket parts world to manufacturers as well as small independent business who build and modify such vehicles for show, development, and many other aspects of the automotive world.
