Devashish Dangwal started this petition to भारत के राष्ट्रपति महामहिम राष्ट्रपति श्री राम नाथ कोविंद and

Himalayas are home to the highest mountains and various mountain ranges. But are we aware about Uttarakhand, the Himalayan state in India , also known as the 'home of deities'.

It is the claimed homeland  of international dignitaries like Jim Corbett , Ruskin Bond , Tom Alter and during British India it was the favourite place for Britishers to have peaceful days of their lives.

It is the place from where the great warriors like Gabar Singh Negi and Darmiyaan Singh Negi  ( both Victoria Cross- Highest British Gallantry award) joined Garhwal Rifles ( Army Battalion of Indian Army) and showed their valor in World wars.

I welcome those all who are willing to see nature at its utmost elegance and humans at their utmost innocency. Uttarakhand was declared separate Himalayan state by Government of India on 9th of November in 2000 after the revolutionary movement by the natives and several men and women laid down their lives for this demand of separate state from the earlier Uttar Pradesh. You can search on Google about the massacres happened in Mussorie , Rampur Tiraha (Mujaffarnagar in 2Oct,1994) and in Khateema. Several men and women died and women were also raped. The main thing is that it was all done by same country people or within the same state.

Now after , 18 years of separation , the same State is one of the best place for tourism in India and it is suffering of the top migration within the country and outside , people are not getting good education , job opportunities are minimal and the survival is agriculture only . It can be tourism but government has given all tourism tenders to outsiders just because they bribe them and local is not that rich to bribe. This is increasing the migration and illeagal occupying of land by outsiders here.

This petition is about, the outsiders promoting tourism for their welfare but it is leading to Plastic Pollution in Himalayan villages and even you can find it on altitudes above 4000 metres .

I personally have collected 50-60 kg of polybags, confectionery packets and plastic  water bottles  here , it was just on the route where I trek with my friends and despite this there was many times to this in weight , plastic was scattered to such places where human is unable to go without gadgets.

It is leading to agriculture pattern disturbances and the natural disasters here like in the Kedarnath and in Uttarkashi .In Uttarkashi, one mountain of 3000 Mt. range is continuously sliding since 2001 causing deaths and migration.

I request the highest authorities to save our land from this plastic Pollution on mountain feets and on higher altitudes , there must be law for the plastic to be taken on the treks and hiking , the government must give tourism tenders to locals and must conduct awareness seminars about plastic hazards in the villages to ask tourists to not to leave polluted footsteps behind .

Please help those innocent citizens to claim their land and make it free of pollution because they are baited by tourists with small amount of money and villagers being poor, serve them.

I ask my government to visit and do something to save our glaciers and Himalayas from Being deteriorated by plastic Pollution.

Government must frame anti - pollution law to save our rich heritage and it will be helpful in countering climate change too.
