Petition updateSelf-determination for the Yoruba people of Nigeria

Nigeria must not be allowed to become the next Yugoslavia

In 1991, the Soviet Union dissolved into 12 republics peacefully at little or no cost to the world. By contrast, the disintegration of Yugoslavia into 6 republics from 1990 to 1992 was accompanied by costly civil wars. The world had failed to heed the 18 October 1990 National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) 15–90 warning that nothing could preserve the unity of Yugoslavia. It is in 2020 clear for all to see that nothing can preserve the unity of Nigeria.

Biafra and Yoruba peoples have already signalled their desire to leave Nigeria. The UN should forthwith convene a referee to actualise the aspirations of the Biafra and Yoruba peoples. Your continued support and recruitment of supporters for the campaign for self-determination for the Yoruba people will force the hands of the UN and the US.
