Population Declined By 50%

World Animal Rescue
Mar 2, 2018
Between 1999 - 2015 the population of the Orangutan has shrunk by half. In the span of 16 years over 100,000 Orangutan have been killed. If this rate of decline keeps up by 2050 there will be only 40,000 Orangutan left in the wild. In as little as a decade the Orangutan, one of humanity's closest relative will be extinct. The destruction of the forests for palm oil and the formation of giant plantations has left the apes without a home. Without a place to breed, without a sanctuary where the population can be rebound. It takes 6 years for an Orangutan to have a baby, while every year at least another 100 are killed. At such a rate more Orangutan are dying than being born. Please sign and share the Orangutan need your help if they are to fight off extinction. Only with the support of those who care, of those who want to make a difference can the Orangutans population rebound. Thank You.
