It also means that I can expect to wake up every morning and hear her (mother) talk about her never ending service to the Ghana Federation of the Disabled which is trying to help create an enabling environment for disabled persons in Ghana who constitute an impoverished marginalised group that is characterised by lack of access to public health, education, and other social services that would ideally support and protect people with disabilities. It also means I can expect to see my Sister's yet to be born baby in a couple of months and my hopes and dreams of seeing a Ghana that is just as beautiful as living in any of the far developed first world countries can continue to stay alive for it was this reason I chose to return home after six years of tertiary education in the United Kingdom.
