Last night, I got so bitten by mosquitoes that I am beginning to wonder if the repellents on the market are not fake, as is generally the case with most medicaments in Ghana. I can't possibly fund fuel for my generator on a daily basis for such protracted periods of time and so I feel obliged to suffer like everyone else, after all I am no better than my fellow suffering Ghanaian brothers and sisters. Well to start with, the whopping national debt increment from 9.5 billion Ghana cedis in 2008 to 33.5 billion in 2012 should at least have realised better sustainable amenities, especially water and electricity, but to our dismay, enhanced problems such as despair, economic disasters, social disintegration, greed and official daylight robbery have become the order of the day. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the majority of Ghanaians were short-changed in the recent elections for no other reason than the fear of the NDC officials from going to jail were he given the Presidency.
