Requesting the UN to investigate human rights violations of the Thai government

Current political situation in Thailand and the Violation of human rights through judicial means via articles 110, 112 and 116

The pro-democracy movement in Thailand, many of the leaders whom are still University students, has recently been heavily cracked down by the “military junta turned dictatorial government”. The junta’s path to power was through a military coup and then a non-democratic constitutional change which allow the Junta’s non-elected, hand-picked upper parliamentary house to veto them in as current government — a dirty tactic in which they are using to try to fool the rest of the world that they came via democratic process.

Recently, the Dictatorial government of Thailand filed many unjust lawsuits to those who participated in the pro-democracy movement. Many allegations towards activists and non-activists alike are absolutely unjust and non-democratic. A recent example is a man who was accused by the Thai police because he simply showed up to donate water to the many groups of rural people from the North-east affected by mining in their hometown, whom recently gathered in front of the parliament house. The man later would receive a summon order by the police that he had violated the Assembly act issued previously before the resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is evidence that the Junta is willing to take all actions to curve any civil peaceful with gatherings including making arrests and unlawful accusations.
