We, members of Central Baptist Church Harare, wish to express our displeasure and blatant disregard by the church Elders in disengaging Pastor John Bell without following the Church's Constitution.

We are therefore requesting that a meeting be called urgently to give the church membership a chance to vote on the following a) Vote of no confidence in the Elders and subsequent relieving them of their duties b) Vote on rejecting Pastor Bell's resignation which was by no means voluntary and subsequently reengaging him c) A secret vote be conducted as per church constitution and this be carried out by an independent body such as Chartered Accountants or other external entities.

According to the CBC church constitution all matters regarding the affairs of the church are decided by the members and therefore members are advised to sign this petition without fear or favor.
