"As we watch in horror the illegal occupation enforces, without authority, a complete blockade on Gaza. It has blocked off an effective aid apparatus that stands ready to protect and provide for Gaza’s inhabitants and replaced it with an evil one designed to degrade and deprive them. In plain view of the world the genocidal apartheid state has installed death traps that distribute insufficient aid ineffectively and cause more Palestinian lives lost every day. Placing on full display Israeli soldiers and mercenaries that commit war crimes as standard operations further evidenced by the continual killing of unarmed people seeking aid. This illegal blockade follows a long-running targeted campaign which accomplished the destruction of the food sovereignty Palestinians cultivated throughout their homeland for generations.

Accountability is an inevitability, and the will of the people is finally influencing the steerage of the ship. The Handala sailed with life-saving aid as a symbol of the people’s solidarity and approached the shores of Gaza this past weekend only to be illegally blocked (as others were before her) by the Israeli government. This interception further proves that appeals to conscious, issued statements, and talks have all been exhausted. There has to be a last straw. This interception is one more callous act that proves the siege on Gaza must be broken by force.
Our promise, the people’s promise, of “never again” extends to everyone everywhere. We will never forget this outright enablement on the part of our politicians and all those in positions of power that could stop the flow of money, technologies, and arms to this genocidal state and yet continually fail to do so. We are appalled that the U.S. Senate failed to block arms sales to Israel on Wednesday even in the face of forced starvation. We are renewing our call for an immediate and complete arms embargo and sanctions against Israel.
There are many who will answer for these crimes, because the people will never forget.
We demand our governments abandon weak half-measures and stop employing transparent delay tactics. We demand our governments join The Hague Group and enforce comprehensive sanctions and an immediate complete arms embargo against Israel. In addition, we also demand our governments conduct an international military operation against Israel to break the siege on Gaza and evict the illegal occupiers from Palestinian land.
We demand the Israeli government be held accountable for its crimes against humanity. We also call for Palestinian-led international peacekeeping efforts to protect the Palestinian people and restore their right to self-determination and help them rebuild their food sovereignty. This protection will be required not only as Palestinians receive aid, but also as they honor their dead, mourn all that has been lost, and gradually rebuild their homes.

Throughout the world people are recognizing the mechanisms that were put in place after WWII to prevent genocide have failed to do so, not only in Palestine, but also in the D.R.C and Sudan. Therefore, we must take action in our respective countries to thwart the forces of fascism and authoritarianism and create just societies that effectively protect the people and our planet.
Our publication is focused on advocating for actions the people of America can take to not only end U.S. support for apartheid and genocide but create the circumstances required to ensure this can never happen again." As such the rest of our blog post focuses to what we can do here at home to create the foundations needed to continue building our power. Power we will wield to redirect our government to serve the diverse melting pot of people that inhabit the United States, honor our treaties with sovereign Native American nations, and show up on the right side of history throughout the world.
