Uniform Road tax slabs across India for vehicle registration
The Issue
I am a resident of Karnataka State and we are paying highest Road Tax while registering our vehicles in RTO. A comparative tax structure across India given below. As we are going for One India, GST and other very good initiatives for uniting India, Government must think on standardizing the road tax structure also. Why we must pay very high tax when there is no special infrastructure and facilities provided in Karnataka. We are paying minimum 15% and up to 20% road tax which is highest in India.
Kindly help me in achieving this target.
