Hi Everyone 

At last nights Ward 5 ANC Meeting 

The ANC Commission voted in the absence of an ANC Commissioner for Union Market District to give a letter of support for the developer to build the apartment building with some changes on the site of the current dog.

At that meeting, the developer did “on record” recognize the “temporary dog park” location and the future need for a dog park.

We should first thank the Ward 5 Commissioner for the hard work they did advocating on behalf of Union Market Residents in the absence of it's ANC Commissioner for which I myself am a Candidate 

Our fight is just beginning as we still await the outcome of our own ANC Results.

I will be presenting our change.org petition and our official DC Parks & Recreation Application  this Friday, asking DC Parks & Rec. to  build a dog park at Union Market 

We have now Officially Formed  The  Union Market District Parks Foundation a 501(c)3 that will advocate, to build the Dog Park, Parks and Greenspaces within the Union Market District boundaries.
