Join our revolution!  We’re petitioning Unicode Consortium which develops and maintains emoji standards to serve up a cupcake emoji.  Unicode announced a list of emoji candidates for release on June 21 which includes “shallow pan of food” and “octagonal sign.”  We thought, “really?  Before a cupcake emoji?!”

How else are we going to tell our friends that they take the cupcake, call our sweeties by their nickname or wish our boss a happy birthday?  Why is there a slice of cake and a full cake but no cupcake?  Why is there an alembic and no cupcake?  Does anyone even know what an alembic is?

Let’s ask Unicode Consortium for the much needed CUPCAKE EMOJI.  Sign our petition for meaningful change!
