 38 Beagle Puppies to be Killed by Vivotecnia - Contracted by University of Barcelona

For the price of 255,648.80 euros, including VAT, the University of Barcelona has contracted the laboratory Vivotecnia to experiment on and murder 38 Beagle puppies.

The puppies, just eight months old, have been forced to ingest doses of new pharmaceuticals, and when they get ill or are in pain, they are left with no pain alleviation or mercy. Despite the torture they have been put through to date, their futures can still be salvaged. Hence, there is no scientific or ethical legitimacy to ending their lives in murder, so this petition calls for their immediate freedom and re-homing.

Vivotecnia, a grotesque torturer of animals, has already garnered so much hostility that nearly 800,000 people have signed petitions for its closure, but to no avail. Vivotecnia continues to operate, experimenting on and carrying out baseless executions of animals.

Sign this petition to show the University of Barcelona that WE KNOW that the actions they are taking are not in line with Article 30 of RD53/2013 of 1 February, nor with the Directive 2010/63/UE, under which, animals are recognized as sentient beings, and in consequence, their welfare requirements must be paid due regard.
