For DHA to give born and raised Asylum Seeker permit holders proper documentation

The Issue

Help me appeal to Home Affairs to get them to give Asylum seeker permit holders better papers.

I am a Valedictorian. Top learner. Top matric candidate. Head Prefect.Won many awards but I am struggling to get a bursary or scholarship because I have an asylum seeker permit (I've been living in South Africa for 12 years now yet I still have an asylum seeker permit). I tried so many places but I am rejected. Please help me find something. I don't want my education to end here. I cannot win this battle alone. Any kind of aid will be appreciated. Help me bring awareness to how the lack of proper documentations puts so many restrictions on the lives of the youth, the leaders of tomorrow. All I yearn for is to continue my education.

Its been 12 years now and I'm still given an asylum seeker permit of which is difficult to get bursaries or scholarships with. My mother is unemployed and she cannot even afford the registration fee required by the university.

Is this what my life will become? Living in poverty and not being able to help myself and my family because of this permit?

My hard work, determination and perseverance has been affected by the lack of proper documentation. All I am asking for is to be recognised by the Department of Home Affairs and be seen as legible to get better papers. I yearn for an education. Please help me
