Unfair NCLEX Result Cancellations After Long Delays – Demand Transparency

The Issue

We are a group of NCLEX candidates who are writing to express serious concerns regarding the recent cancellation of exam results by the NCSBN.

Many of us waited over 10–11 weeks for our results, enduring uncertainty and putting our careers on hold. After this long and stressful delay, we were suddenly informed that our results were invalidated due to an “unusual score increase.”

We strongly believe this decision is unfair and lacks transparency.

We would like to clearly state:

We did not engage in any form of cheating or misconduct.

Our improved scores reflect months of hard work, dedication, and preparation.

No clear evidence or detailed explanation has been provided to justify these cancellations.

This situation has caused serious harm to our lives:

We were unable to work or make career decisions during the delay.

We are now being forced to retake the exam, which may require us to stop working again.

This has created significant financial and emotional stress.

We respectfully demand the following:

A transparent explanation of the criteria used to determine “unusual score increases”

A fair and thorough re-evaluation of the affected exam results

Accountability for the excessive delay in releasing results

Consideration of compensation or support for the damages caused

We are not asking for special treatment.

We are asking for fairness, transparency, and respect for the effort we have put into our professional careers.

We urge the NCSBN and relevant nursing regulatory bodies to take immediate action and address this issue responsibly.
