Return Wheelchair Tennis to 2020 U.S. Open

Return Wheelchair Tennis to 2020 U.S. Open
The Issue
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has chosen to omit wheelchair tennis for the 2020 U.S. Open this upcoming September. COVID-19 precautions are of high concern but the cancelation of such event is discrimination. These athletes train and devote their lives to attend this monumental achievement in their tennis careers. Athletes should not be barred from sports on the grounds of race, gender, nationality, sexuality, and/or impairments. Please consider signing this petition to raise awareness, build advocacy, and support these athletes along their journey. We are organizing to have the United States Tennis Association (USTA) reconsider their decision to not include wheelchair tennis in the 2020 edition of the U.S. Open.
