William Randall Library is one of the crucial resources for students studying at UNCW. Whether it be using the computers, the learning commons, looking up sources, or simply finding a quiet place to study, Randall is an integral part of most students time at Wilmington. However, in fall 2011, the UNCW administration saw fit to not keep Randall open 24 hours anymore. This causes a problem for students who need to do last minute research or cannot go during the day. Students that work at night sometimes cannot get to the library until later at night, and they no longer have that opportunity. Almost every student at UNCW has a story about how they NEEDED to go to Randall late at night. We are asking that the Administration here at UNCW change the Library’s hours to be open 24 hours again, so the students of Wilmington can utilize it as a resource 24 hours a day.
