Jolie Voss has to STAY

The Issue

Jolie Voss, a current sophomore at University of Northern Colorado, is forced to withdraw from the school imminently because she is only a four credit student. Jolie works as a store manager for Tokyo Joe's here in Greeley, only at 19 years old. Jolie works over 45 hours a week in order to pay for necessities. Jolie is also in marching band as a section leader of the cymbals and practices every day for two hours. Jolie is completely over qualified and has a great school record to go here.  She registered for other classes past the deadline due to her extreme work schedule, has made it so she now owes the school $9000 because financial aid will no longer cover the costs. Jolie, making her own payments, can not afford this price tag. Jolie has rejected the offer to got to Stanford for her incoming freshman year because University of Northern Colorado has always been her number one school and dream school. The professors at UNCO signed off on her late registration to join there classes and made her understand that she would have to make up not only this week of work (the third week) but also the past two. Jolie understood what she needed to do and realized that she is fully capable of doing so. The Dean of Students is holding her back from making her dreams come true as a future graduate of UNCO with a degree she will love. If her professors are on board and she is with the work she is going to have to do, the Dean of Students should be to.
