As students in the Lammersville Unified School District, we have come to rely on Spotify as a tool that helps us focus and stay engaged during class. It's not just about music; it's about our ability to concentrate, to absorb information, and ultimately, to succeed in our studies. For many of us, Spotify is what gets us through class and really helps us focus without getting bored.

However, we've recently lost access to this vital resource. This has had a negative impact on our learning environment and overall productivity. According to research from the University of Birmingham (2017), music can significantly improve cognitive performance by enhancing mood and providing a rhythm that guides thinking.

We understand that there may be concerns about misuse or distraction. However, we believe that with proper guidelines in place for use during independent study times or designated breaks could address these issues while still allowing students the benefits of having access.
