Unblock All MCPS-Blocked Websites to Enhance Learning and Leisure

Unblock All MCPS-Blocked Websites to Enhance Learning and Leisure
The Issue
I was once the king of Coolmathgames, a title that brought me joy and camaraderie among my peers. However, the recent blocking of this site by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) has stripped me of my crown. This is not only about games; it's about access to information and resources that enhance our learning experience.
MCPS has blocked numerous websites in an attempt to keep students focused on their studies. While this intention is commendable, it overlooks the fact that students often use these sites for educational purposes or as a brief respite from rigorous academic work. In fact, according to EdTech Magazine, educational games can improve motivation and engagement in students.
Moreover, blocking these sites does not deter students from playing games during class time; they simply go out of their way to find unblocked ones. This diversion could be better spent on productive activities if appropriate leisure sites were accessible.
We believe in a balanced approach towards technology use in schools where both education and leisure coexist harmoniously. We urge MCPS to reconsider its decision and unblock all previously accessible websites.
Please sign this petition if you believe in promoting a healthy balance between work and play within our school system.
Please consider the fact that by blocking Coolmathagmes and other gaming websites you limit the fun that kids are having. Since you want school to be a nice place for people to learn unblock games then it will be a nice place to learn but until that happens we will wait in silence until our demands are met.
Also, cool math games were all of our childhoods. So by the blocking of Cool Math Games, they are blocking our childhoods and I'm pretty sure you don't want that. I love having nostalgia like trading Pokemon cards and playing with beyblades and I'm sure you had a great with lots of fun memories and you wouldn't want them to get blocked so please sign this petition to unblock our memories for generations to come.
