In the united states  you cannot have your phone and school and if you get caught with it you have to turn it in. well thats plain stupid. In the past 10 years there has been 720 confirmed gun violence acts in school and thats not counting bomb threats, bullying and more. Also schools say it distracts students from paying attention and it causes cheating on exams but that is also false because the phone ban makes students more defiant when it comes to phone usage  .School is not safe enough to have a phone ban. Instead we should have a rule for allowing phones in pockets rather than lockers.
