We, the students of Battlefield High School, believe that this new cell phone policy that is going into effect in 2025 is unreasonable. We believe that reducing our cell phone usage to the beginning of the school day and at the end of the school day is unsafe, as we students receive important texts from parents, need our phones to stay safe in the event of a lockdown or fire drill. We believe that if any money is used to purchase locking pouches is an unwise purchase. The money that would be used could instead be going to more important things such as the sports and arts departments. While you may not believe we students engage in face-to-face conversations or hang out because of our cell phones, you are horribly wrong. Every day I see people chatting in the halls and they do not have their faces buried in their phones. 

We ask that you change your decision back to the original policy and keep that in effect.
